Sentimental is Sometimes Best

Moms, wives, sisters and daughters are celebrated by 87% of American adults each year on Mother’s Day. Gift giving in 2016 topped $21 billion in sales, but what moms really want may not be the “thing” you think. According to a recent survey by RetailMeNot, 58% of moms would prefer something sentimental over a creative, experiential or expensive gift. The phrase, “it’s the thought that counts” rings true for more than half of moms in the U.S.

New survey from RetailMeNot reveals stats that may surprise gift givers.
